TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among commenters is to book the flight ticket using the name as it appears on the passport that will be used for exiting Thailand, which is typically the Thai passport for entry into Thailand. For travel to the UK, it's recommended to have both passports available for check-in and immigration purposes. If there are name discrepancies, it could be helpful to update the passports to match the preferred name or carry additional identification that clarifies the name variations.
cheers, I was not quite 100% sure that I used Thai one last time, we will get the new thai passport tomorrow so it matches ID, then just sort out UK later.
I have same issue with dual citizenship, usually I book the ticket using the name in the passport of my place of residence and just show both passports when immigration or check in is being difficult about it. In this case I would put the name as it is in the Thai passport
Hi. Yes , pretty sure thats what I did last time, though we will change thai passport to match name to thai id. I just checked and for UK passport its not legal requirement to update name but once there we will just get new on so all three match :-)
Not that simple, Wife has UK passport with original thai name, Thai passport has her previous married name because they used her thai ID for that passport and we were not married then so the Thai ID had previous married name, she now has new Thai ID card so will need to get new Thai passport but still left with UK passport with different name. Once in UK we would get new UK passport also. So, yes I would have been asking same question.
When she checks in she should use her Thai passport as that is the easiest for entry to Thailand. Use this name on the ticket. Then go through UK immigration with UK passport.
