How do I open a bank account in Thailand with a 90-day Non O visa and what are the requirements for residency address recording?

I am arriving in CM early April with a 90day non O visa .I will be staying at girlfriend's house,and my goal is to open up bank account.How do i get my adress recorded(what form)so i can proceed to immigration to get a certificate of residency .

Also ,what is the minimum amount required to open an account,as i intend transferring the balance of the 800000bht over at a later date

One point on the 800k baht, if you're planning getting a 12 month extension on your 90 day visa the 800k needs to be in your account for 2 full calendar months before you apply for the extension

You need a longer term visa than 90 days and proof of residency.

Why longer than 90 days? That is a long term visa. If a bank won’t open up an account with that then it’s probably because they can’t be arsed to deal with he paperwork- especially if you’re American.

it’s too short as why would you need a bank account if you are not a resident. I tried a few times when I came in 90 days and when I had a year plus they gave it to me.

Very few reports of people on Non Os being refused. Obviously can happen but just move along to the next branch.
