How close to the end of my 60-day visa exemption should I apply for a 30-day extension in Thailand?
Hello from Phuket. How close to the end of the 60 day visa exempt should I go to immigration for the 30 day extension?

Yes, it's advisable to extend if you are planning to stay over your 60 days and go a few days before the 60 days expires..
The extension is just added onto your initial 60 days anyway..
But some immigration offices get very busy so go soon and go early in the day
