Hi all,

I work 3/3 in Australia. I’m planning on Thailand on my 3 weeks off. Is best I apply for a DTV, I do Muay Thai, straight up or just go Visa Exemption for a while? Anyone in same boat coming and going on a 3/3 and On Visa Exemption Scheme, how long can that last?

Thanks Folks 😎

Stay visa exempt for i while if you aint been much you will get a warning if you have been coming and going to much , its easy to provide proof when you work on that sort of contract

I do mining and got a DTV with a 1 month course from tiger eye a couple of years ago. Hit them up the blokes name is Bashir Ahmad he's really good to deal with and will let you know what's being accepted these days. The gym is great and flexible with your needs if you have to train on and off. It's in BKK so you'd have to go there to do it. Lots of know it all's on here will say you have to have a 6-9 month course but it sounds like that's not always the case. I'm also Aussie by the way and the application was a piece of piss. Just make sure you've got the 500,000 in your bank for 3 months before you apply. I got away with a statement of balance on the day but that was quite a while ago now.

If your well off just buy an investment property of 3 million baht or above and a few other conditions. You can do this forever then

that is limited to certain areas, Phuket only, I think, at the moment. To renew your visa on a yearly basis, you must use a certain limited company, and the renewal fee per year is 27,000 baht.

So If you know already that you will come regularily, I would go for the DTV already as it can save you trouble later

SwiftRaspberry2631 I know a couple of guys who have been doing VE years as well for month-on-month-off. They were pulled up last year when the rules changed so they've moved to METV just out of convenience and avoidance of any hassle
