Entering at DMK after being denied entry in BKK

Just like most of you already know, last week I was denied entry and sent back to Spain after being interogated at Suvarnanhumi Airport.

After booking a new 6 months Muay Thai course and topping up my bank account with another 10.000€ I decided to fly to Ho Chi Minh city first and from there to Bangkok, that is exactly what I did and landed in DMK today. I've chosen a female officer this time and there were about 5 other people in front of me. After handing over my passport and printed DTV it took her about a half minute to check her computer and she tell me to go to the side and wait. At that moment my heart started to race and I was thinking that if I get denied entry again, at least I will fly back to Vietnam instead of Spain. I was again taken into a separate room, this time I was completely alone there and was told to wait. After a few seconds the officer comes to me and tells me that they have me in their system and he needs to verify if I comply with my visa. This time I did not have to fill in any questionaire he only wanted to see if I have a valid Muay Thai course and my internet banking. I showed him that I have 19.000€ in my acount and the confirmation email from the gym on my phone and printed also. After checking them he looked at me and said: "You did your homework good". Then he left and returned after about 3-4 minutes, gave me my passport and said "You can go". I checked my passport and was stamped 25.04.2027. The whole process took not longer than 20 minutes.

And no, I did not use any agent, snd no fast track. And no, I am not promoting any of those

UPDATE: I am not going to post any pic with my passport or stamps or anything personal in a group with 70k people from which 90% are anonymous or using burner profiles!!

Those who obtained a DTV with a 6 M course need to justify their 5 yr plan and surely under scrutiny..!

HumbleCaterpillar6452 yeah, I'm hearing this a lot, sometimes I am a gym owner, sometimes cooking school, and sometimes visa agent, you can choose. I guess we don't need any agent if we are following the rules and fulfill the visa requirements, what do you think?🤔 why would anyone need an agent to book a Muay Thai course and show 500k in the bank account?

Sorry, but wondering how could you topped up 10k € so easy and even pay Muay Thai course?? Is not easy to make that money in Spain these days. Very mysterious the life from these jobless Spanish people

OP
Anonymous participant 569 I guess you missed my last post, money is not an issue for me, it never was, it's just that I don't keep my money in cash or in a traditional bank account. That was also my issue at my last entry, had only about 9k € in my bank. And yes, you are right, 10k € might be a lot for many people from Spain or NL, but that means the DTV is not for them
Luit *****************
Luit *****************
Anonieme deelnemer 569 I am quite sure there are many people in Spain for which € 10,000 is not very much.
Anonymous ******************
Anonymous ******************
@Luit ****************
you need more than €10K for the DTV (€20K). Not even every Dutch citizen has that much in their savings account, unless they’re already retired. Beware: it’s an amount you must maintain every time you enter, leave, and return to the country. The spanish dude is broke, he comes to Thailand exactly with the required minimum amount. Thanks to those, the Thai immigration becomes difficult for the good people later. DTV should be only for nomads and they should cancel those who come here for Muay Thai or cooking. BULLSH! They aren’t here for studying

You quite sure? Why are u quite sure, dutchie?
Luit *****************
Luit *****************
Anonieme deelnemer 569 According to Spanish banks about 37 percent of all Spanish households have €
*****
or more in their savings account.

Spain has about 19m households so about 7m have over 15k.

I consider 7m as many people, but maybe it is not many for you...

You not need 20k for DTV, that would mean an exchange rate of 25 baht for 1 euro, while real exchange rate is about 37.5.

Apart from that you were wondering why somebody was able to top up with €
*****
and that was were I replied upon.

Of course also not every Dutch citizen has this amount in a savings account.

Where did you see the Spanish guy was broke? I only read he did not have his money on a savings account.

I completely agree with you a lot of sofpower applicants abuse the system, and as always the good will suffer because of the bad.

By the way... if you were to deny this time too There is no guarantee to return you back to Ho Chi Minh. They still can send you back to your country and they can insist on that to show them a flight to spain to let you out of the detention room. You won't play smart with immigration and you think you will win. Yet... you passed due to the documents this time and we happy for you. Enjoy your time in Thailand

friendly_Tiger22 No, they not can insist on you go to your home country when that is not where you came from.

You have a boarding pass indicating where you came from, and that is where they can send you back.

When you want to go somewhere else you can ask, but IO probably only agree for any other destination when they are sure they let you enter overthere.

@Luit ****************
yes, typically sent back to origin hence outbound airlines at times ask for visa/funds details for destination as the airline can have certain obligations if there is an issue. Also there hasn’t been any flights to Spain from DMK for 20 years.

@Luit ****************
they can insist return the person back to his country and there were cases like this. They insist of he want to get out of that room is to show a ticket to his own country. And they didn't let him out unless they see it.

BTW... telling you this based on experience and cases seen.

Yet i am not here to push you to believe or argue with you or anyone.

If you don't believe it... it is totally fine. Again i repeat. I am not into any argument
Luit *****************
Luit *****************
friendly_Tiger22 Keep your own ideas, fine to me.

They can ask you anything, just like you can ask them anything, but the only thing they have the right to, is returning you to where you last boarded the plane you arrived with.

Maybe you are confused with rules when you are in the country and get deported, then you can be send to your home country.

Why only stamped till 2027 isn’t it a 5year visa?
Luit *****************
Luit *****************
@Myer *****
Is is a 180 day visa, valid for 5 year, multi entry.

Thai visa all have a period of stay in the country, and a validity period.

Some are single entry, others are multi entry.

Most embassy sites explain all this.

The period of stay is the number of consecutive days you can stay in the country.

The end date of the validity period is the last day you can enter the country.

Single entry means you only can enter once on the visa, multi entry means you can enter as often as you want.

Nobody says you have to do Muay Thai for 5 years, just as nobody said you should visit Thailand for 5 years.

Albert Alberto Because they might not want to do softpower for 5 years.

You get the visa for getting the ability to participate in the softpower activity.

I know a lot of people here just abuse the visa and use paying for a softpower activity as a means to get a visa to live in the country.

This aligns with what we have told everyone.

If you want no issues upon re-entry then you need to be in-line with the original requirements for the visa approval in the first place.

Can prescreening services help? Yes, but they are not required if you have everything in order.

It can be questioned. Does not happen often, but it is a reason they can use for refusal.
