I’m a uk national can anyone tell me. How long is the process, from starting an application for an non o visa. To receiving it by post
Bobby ********
@David *******
. There's several types of Non-O. Which one are you applying for?
David ********
Bobby Ho 90 days visa. Then eventually retirement visa in Thailand

90 days visa. Then eventually retirement visa in Thailand
Bobby ********
@David *******
. Yes but a 90 day visa has to be based on something. Marriage, Thai Child, retirement etc.
David ********
@Bobby *******
sorry yeah already married to Thai. It’s retirement
Bobby ********
@David *******
. If you're applying from your home country you'll probably have to apply for the OA visa, as the O retirement is generally only available in country. Most people get the O by first getting a 60 day tourist visa and converting once they get here, but as tourist visas are off the picture at the moment, you'd be better getting the OA or the O marriage

@Bobby *******
cheers for that. So how long does the process from applying for visa in the uk. To receiving it
Bobby ********
@David *******
. I got my last OA in Australia. From posting all the shit to getting passport back with visa took about two weeks. That was pre-covid, however.

dude, this lot are a bunch of rude, arrogant pricks. Firstly, do you have a reentry permit? If not you can’t renter on that visa. If you do, contact the Thai Embassy where you are and enquire there. Don’t listen to this lot.

@Jussi *******
. Where did you get the Volunteer Visa?

I have multi entry but they didn’t provide working permit as they promised.

@Jussi *******
, without a letter from them directly, saying they still need you, you can not reenter Thailand. No letter, no entry.
Anastasiia *****
Ask agency where you do it . Or just ask visa agency. They offer service to make it multi enter for 5k bath. Or something around 2k bath for one re enter.
Bobby ********
@Anastasiia ****
. He's not in Thailand. You can only get a reentry permit before leaving Thailand.
Anastasiia *****
@Bobby *******
ah got it . 🤷🏼‍♀️

To reenter you must have a letter from the legally registered organization that you are volunteering for, confirming that they still need you. You must also have gotten a reentry permit when you left Thailand, or that visa expired as soon as you crossed out of Thailand. Without having an actual work permit, that was required to even do non-paying volunteer work while you were in Thailand, it is highly unlikely you can get the needed letter that the legally registered organization still needs you, as legally you never worked for them before, or you would have the work permit.

Yoiur option is to wait because if you have been following the situation for the last couple of months you will know the government has spun out many opyions that never materialized.

exactly what I said..so is yours unsupported too? Nasty little man

Do you have a work permit or is your "volunteer visa" a bogus one obtained from a Visa agent?

he doesn't have a work permit.

. Because volunteer visas are arranged through a foundation organisation, who have to submit details of the volunteer project. The cost of a volunteer visa is 2000 baht. People have been paying upwards of 60,000 baht as this includes the bribe to the immigration officer. The stamp is legit, the process is not. To be a volunteer a person needs a work permit. Not every "volunteer visa" holder holds a work permit.
Mark *************************
@Bobby *******
do explain why is a volunteer visa bogus if obtained thru a visa agent. If its done by a legit agent, the visa stamp on the passport is as legit as the ones you get directly from the immigration.
Mark *************************
@Dominic ********
what makes you come to a conclusion that every agent doing volunteer visa is thru bribery? Some do, some dont.
Oakley ******
@Mark ************************
everyone uses bribes brother....even your parents gave you pocket money
Mark *************************
@Oakley *****
pocket money is bribe? Lol! Thats a first!
Oakley ******
@Mark ************************
in the case of visas,,,call it commission....either way cash is exchanged in order to smooth the deal....now go to bed like a good little boy or you wont get any pocket money......invoices only make bribes seem legit to those who believe authorities shouldnt do such things
