Applying for the 60 day visa for an 80 day stay. If i am staying in a friends apartment how can i prove my accommodation?
Answer summary
When applying for a 60-day visa for an 80-day stay in Thailand while staying at a friend's apartment, there are several ways to provide proof of accommodation. You can ask your friend for an invitation letter, ideally accompanied by their Thai ID. Alternatively, booking a hotel room for a few days (which is refundable) and then cancelling after obtaining the confirmation can also serve as proof. Some users have successfully been approved for their visas by mentioning the name and address of the hotel they planned to stay at and later not providing evidence for the rest of their stay. It's also noted that the owner of the property does not need to be in Thailand at the same time as you for the invitation letter to be valid.

Just book one day hotel 1st day put nothing else, you don't need to put your entire stay accommodation
I didn't have a reservation for my hotel I told them the name of it and address got approved for my DTV arrival card. Plus I went home with my girlfriend for 5 days came back to same hotel.
I had a hotel booked for the first 10 days, i added all the information about the friend for the rest of my stay, they were confused about the invitation letter and tge information requested. My visa was approved
If you don’t want to bother about an invitation letter just book a 4-5 day hotel on booking.com that is fully refundable or pay on arrival. Get the confirmation and then cancel it and use the confirmation as proof
