What country are you from - Denmark

Are you over 50 - Yes, 69

Do you have 800,000 baht or equivalent in any bank - No

Pension from government and private - 55.000THB after tax

Are you in Thailand now - No, plan to arrive 8th April

I have a small registered business in Denmark

I have previously been living in Thailand until September 2022 for 18years, and for the last years been on a retirement visa.

My plan is to stay permanent in Thailand, how is it possible, I will arrive on a 60days tourist visa.
Summary so far
The user seeks advice on how to stay permanently in Thailand after previously holding a retirement visa. Currently living in Denmark, they plan to arrive on a 60-day tourist visa and have a monthly pension of 55,000 THB, but do not have the required 800,000 THB in savings. The commenters emphasize the financial requirements needed for a Non-O visa and suggest options like providing additional funds, consulting the Thai Embassy for acceptance of income combination, or hiring an agent to assist with the visa process.

There is no way for you to achieve permanent residence, your option is a Non-O visa based on your age which you will need to extend annually but you don't meet the financial requirements of that. Your only option would be to use an agent to procure the Non-O and extension of stay

How much on a bank account would he need, having 55k from a pension?

that will depend on both the consulate where he applies and the immigration office where he will apply for an extension of stay as well as whether or not his embassy in Thailand will provide an income affidavit/certificate. I don't believe the Danish embassy provides that certificate so the only option is 800k baht in the bank for the first extension of stay, and for subsequent extensions he'd need to show a minimum of 65k baht transfers from overseas every month for 12 months immediately prior to applying (unless his immigration office allows part lump sum and part transfers but he would need to establish that directly with the immigration office)

You can comfortably do it using an Agent to furnish the funds for you. No worries.

You're going to need another plan.

You could pay an agent for the retirement visa, since you don’t meet the requirements

You do not currently meet the financial requirements for a long term stay based on retirement. Your only realistic option would be to provide additional funds (150,000 baht) so that, together with your pension, the total reaches the required 800,000 baht per year, provided that both the Thai Embassy in Copenhagen and your local immigration office in Thailand accept a combination of income and funds in the bank.

You should check with the Thai Embassy in Copenhagen whether they accept a combination of income and savings for the visa application, as some embassies do. You should also confirm whether your local immigration office in Thailand accepts the same method.

If that is the case, you should apply for a Non O visa before travelling from Denmark, and you can obtain an affidavit letter from the Danish Embassy in Bangkok to confirm your income.

Jan Kenneth Nesland or just go to a visa agent and pay a few thousand baht! It’s so easy

Jan Kenneth Nesland Danish Embassy in BKK does not provide an income statement as one of the first (Then with US, Australia and UK) anymore. I thought since 2018.

Peter Van Eindhoven As I understand, they've started again and issues an affidavit only for pension when the information is sent directly to them from the pension provider.

Unless you have a Thai wife or child for your Non-O visa you cannot meet the financial requirements for a Non-O (over 50) retirement visa

Graham Seal you still need to meet the minimum financial requirements regardless of having a thai wife or child.

Phillip Dick but thats only 400k and not 800k

Phillip Dick indeed but it is a lower requirement than for retirement which the OP cannot meet
