Hi there, how long in advance can you go to immigration in order to receive the 30 days extension following a 30 days visa exempt?

Is 2 weeks in advance considered too much or is it OK ?

FYI, I use Rayong Mattaput office.

its widely known that rules may be different among the 70+ Thai immigration offices. That's why we always say ask your local immigration office.

true...that is the Pattaya/Jomtien rules...within 7 days to apply for an extension.

And be sure you have a correct TM30 address registration for the Thai Immigration office where you live.
