Quick question on a Certificate of entry extension. I have a 45 day period, and I want to extend it for an extra 30 days due to an unexpected change in plans.
I searched the group but didn’t find any previous posts regarding this. Can anyone share their knowledge on what the process is to extend, and what is needed, or tag me in a previous thread if it exists?
I currently plan to leave Thai August 25th.
Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your Certificate of Entry (COE) in Thailand for an extra 30 days, you need to apply for an extension of stay at your local immigration office where the TM30 was filed. Required documents include your passport and copies of the data page, recent visa, stamp, departure card, a TM30 form, a completed extension request form, one passport-sized photo, and a fee of 1,900 THB. The COE itself is only for entry; your extension will be based on your entry stamp.
Certification of Entry is the one of documents that l let you to enter Thailand. Entry stamp (or admitted to stay until xx stamp) is the one that allows you to stay in Thailand and it is the one you can apply for the extension for. You may get a lot of results if you change the search keys I guess.
You can get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism easily. You'll go to your local immigration office where the TM30 was filed, and submit the following documents
1. Your passport and:
a. a copy of your data ("picture") page
b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)
