How can I extend my 60-day tourist e-visa in Thailand by 30 days, and where should I go?

30-Day Extension after 60-day Tourist E-Visa
Hi, I entered Thailand on 4th May on a 60-day tourist e-visa which expires on 2nd July. If I wish to extend by 30 days to August 1st I understand I need to go to immigration with a TM30, my British passport and pay the fee etc.

I will be provided with the relevant TM30 on 2nd June.

My questions;

How soon can I go to immigration and get the extension?

Which immigration office is best to go to (I’m staying by On Nut)?

Do I have to book an appointment or just walk in?

Any other things to be aware of?

To extend your 60-day tourist e-visa, you can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office when you have 45 days or less left on your current visa. Since you are in Bangkok, you will need to go to the main Chaeng Watthana Immigration Office. You can either walk in or book an appointment, although making an appointment can be difficult. Ensure you bring your passport, the TM30 form, and printed copies of your visa and other necessary documents.

In Bangkok you can only get your Tourist Visa extension from the main Immigration Office (CW) and you can apply when you have 45 days or less remaining. It is possible but not easy to book an appointment.

You are in Bangkok.  In Bangkok you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your existing permission to stay.

You do not get to choose which immigration office you go to.  You go to the office that serves the province where you are staying and where you have your TM30.  If you entered with a tourist visa from a Thai embassy, then you must go to the main immigration office at Chaeng Watthana.

You can book an appointment or walk in.

You will need to print your visa as well. There are likely to be some other copies that you will need, but you can get those done in the lower level of Chaeng Watthana.
