Hello to all. I’ve arrived on December 2 on tourist visa exemption. I’d like to extend it for 60 more days which apparently is doable due to COVID. As the long weekend is over tomorrow I’d like to go first thing in the morning to an immigration office. Any suggestion which one to go best? Thank you 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on extending their tourist visa exemption for an additional 60 days due to COVID-19 and is asking for recommendations on which immigration office to visit in Thailand. Commenters clarify that the user must go to the immigration office for their respective area, with specifics about handling both the standard 30-day extension and the COVID extension.

sorry this isn't a "give me the easiest immigration office to go to" sort of group.

You go to the immigration office that serves the area where you stay

In Bangkok if you showed up on a 30 day visa exempt entry you go to the Muang Thong Thani Immigration location for both the 30 day 'regular' extension AND the covid extension.

Keep in mind that SOME offices start the covid extension on the date you apply <- meaning it is not added to your current expiration date. Unlike the 30 day regular extension that gets added to your current expiration date no matter when you apply for it

I'd say GO and get the 30 day regular extension FIRST for 1900baht and then closer to the covid extension program running out (Jan 25th) go apply for the 60 day covid extension

I just find this photo, posted 1 week ago on Google maps. Information on which type of visas processed. Might be useful.

yes...but be sure that you have a TM30 address registration filed in Samui.

And be prepared to answer the question why are you still in Thailand? The COVID extension is not guaranteed.

The Immigration Officers have been instructed to be stricter in granting the COVID extensions.

You might have to do the 30 day extension first, depending on the immigration office
