I bank with Krungsri. For years I have maintained a 800k balance. I would like to switch to the 65k per month option. I use Wise to transfer monies to my Krungsri account. I always select the 'funds for long term option'. How can I be sure my transfers meet Immigration requirements?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about switching their bank account activity to meet immigration requirements for a long-term visa in Thailand. They currently maintain an 800k THB balance and seek to transfer 65k THB monthly using Wise. Commenters provide insights, emphasizing the importance of verifying that transfers are labeled correctly on bank statements as international transfers. There are mixed experiences regarding documentation requirements at immigration offices, with suggestions to check statements regularly and consult local immigration offices for clarity. Some mention the need for certificate documentation, while others suggest using a different bank if complications arise.
I will attempt to which method to 65k per month on my renewal this month.
I set up a Bangkok Bank account just to receive the monthly transfers last year.
The BB statements clearly label incoming international transfers.
I am told I need certified statements from the bank the day I am submitted the renewal. I am not sure if this is true or exactly what I need from the bank.
Reports from Wise are truly useless and as far as I can see do NOT reflect the ‘long stay in Thailand’ label we religious apply every month.
from the Wise website. What I am saying is what I see on the Wise website does not clearly outline transfers to my Thai bank account and does not include the previously mentioned ‘long stay in Thailand’ label.
Are you suggesting that Thailand immigration will accept reports from Wise or do they want Thailand bank reports?
I use the long stay in Thailand as my reason for transfers and, although there was a problem with this a few months ago, I have not seen anyone recentry having problems with these transfers

International deposits to Krungsri limited to 50k a transaction so more complicated than the others (BKK, Kasikorn, SCB)
that's a piss take,I've not fully looked into it yet,as regarding choosing a bank what possibly pays interest, but it's very disappointing, and disheartening if that's the norm.
IF you can get the monthly thing done. not everyone can. amount of money for some and some IO do not accept it or ask for embassy certified documents and not all embassies do it
just saying that the 65,000k a month option is viable, not sure why they say it's so much extra paperwork that would be worth wasting 32-40k a year in lost interest
it has grown by 10-11% on average PER YEAR for allmost a century. some years stronger, some less. but a 90+ year average of 10-11% is massive and super solid
as an australian you should be more reserved. when you consider your shitty currency and its development over the past decade. 4-5% in Australia would even be a loss compared to having it in thai baht with 0% interest 🤣🤣 yes i am also against putting 400 or 800k in a thai bank, but AUD is just bad, really bad
, according to an earlier reply, same amount of paper work.

Thanks everyone. I checked my statement and the transfers show as 'Global transfer'. All good.

Check your statements. I was transfering to Krungthai, selecting funds for long term stay, assuming it would show as International Transfers... Never checked... When I did, eventually check, I found Krungthai don't show international transfers... So switched the transfers to my Bangkok Bank account and they are listed as International transfers. Doesn't matter what reason I select in wise, they all show as International on Bangkok Bank statements..
All totally irrelevant tho, because my local immigration insist on a proof of income certificate your embassy... I'm from the UK and the British Embassy refuse to provide it...
That is annoying. In Chonburi - Pattaya, no need of certificate. Is also ridiculous, as long you ve the transfers every month. I did provide them with a contract, but they never ask for it.
for proof of 800,000, they want 12 month bank statements with a certificate from the bank, but won't accept 12 month statements and bank certificate for income... Very annoying

Well, hope this not changed in Jomtien either. But again this is abusing, and make it difficult for everybody. But this is Thailand.

Got my 90 day non-o today and in less than 60 days will apply for one year retirement non-o visa. And yes...no insurance required.
going through it all now. I have already had 4 retirement visas. Why on earth would I make this up? Been doing this for many years. Thirteen to be exact. I can provide you with picture of first entry you believe I am making this up too
Tony Birnseth medical insurance is on non o done in Thailand. Mine was done in my country and no need for insurance and have been doing my extensions now for 5 years
mine was for extension of retirement visa non-o-a which I secured onlime using monthly income. I did not need to show them monthly deposit. At that time immigration said if I deposit 800k in bank I can change to non-o and is more easy and not so much busy paperwork with proof of income and medical insurance would not be required. I, incidentally am going to Nonthaburi office today if I am approved to apply for retirement visa non-o. I know many offices can be a little different and the rules always changing. Copies, copies, copies!!!
an Non-OA extension will always require medical insurance until you break your link with the initial Non-OA

Should be on your statement. Normal international funds transfer is enough, but should be there. And verify this every month. I did same as you want to do.
