Question

Hello guys.
Is there anyone know how to cancel tourist visa on line????
I have a multiple tourist visa from Laos this May, will expired at Oct. now I’m at Vietnam to apply DTV, but have to cancel that tourist visa first, I email Laos Thailand embassy, no reply yet. Is there anyone know how to do that? Cause I have to stay at Vietnam waiting for the DTV

The user is seeking information on how to cancel a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) obtained from Laos, as they currently need to apply for a different visa (DTV) while in Vietnam. There are various responses indicating that cancelling the METV online is not possible; instead, they must contact the issuing consulate, which could take 5-7 days. Comments also highlight concerns about potential cancellation of the DTV application if documentation isn't submitted timely, alongside suggestions to wait until the visa expires instead of cancelling.

Why did you apply for DTV while you still have a valid visa to enter the country. With METV valid till end of October you can stay 60 days when entering before it expires and then extend for another 30 days, that means somewhere in January next year.

Why throw away what you have paid for?

Almost impossible to cancel. Your DTV application will most likely canceled as well, as they won’t wait 6-8 weeks

Nope there is no way to cancel an METV online. You'd have to get ahold of the issuing consulate, and they can cancel it in the system (usually takes 5 - 7 days once you get a hold of them)

Now if you mean can you do it via the inter-web by contacting the thai consulate that issued it and having them cancel it in the system <- YES that can be done but it's a LOT of hoop jumping.
