TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for an Elite Visa in Thailand while on a 60-day extension, the process involves contacting the Thai Elite company directly. The application fee varies based on the duration, with options for 5 years at 600,000 baht and 20 years at 1 million baht. However, if you're on a Covid extension, you must first leave Thailand to clear any overstay issues before applying for a re-entry and resuming the application from abroad. Alternative visa options can include an ED (Education) Visa or a NON-B (Business) Visa if you have employment. The Elite Visa application is noted to be relatively straightforward.

I received mine in country last year. Easy

Even you really cannot apply for Elite Visa, you can apply for ED or Volonteer visa. Of course if you have employer, can get NON-B too.

For the Volonteer visa so no work permit

@Matt ******
as i know, you cannot obtain Volonteer visas from abroad for now. You should check with your local Thai embassy.

It's easy to apply for the Elite visa. They can assist with any extensions if needed.

not if your on the Covid extension. It's not possible to do inside the country.
Bim *******
You can't If you are on the Covid extension. You have to leave and clear what they call your overstay and they apply the visa on arrival back in Thailand.
Benjamin ******
@Bim ******
being on an extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 isn't an overstay thought

@Benjamin *****
me neither but Thailand Elite class it as such. Trust me I have already tried and been a TE member for 5 years

Visa amnesty and an extension of stay are 2 different things. The visa amnesty was like an overstay waiver, no one should still be on that as everyone is eligible for the covid visa extension.

the extension under the covid ministry instruction can not be converted to another vise inside the country. I have checked many times with Thailand Elite, Siam Legal, Thai immigration. You have to leave and come back.

@B**
Thats not correct.

would you like to phone Thailand Elite, the 1178 immigration line and Siam legal and update?

you contact the elite company, APPLY for the visa (the 5 year Elite is 600K baht and the 20 year elite is 1 million baht) they do the background check, then let you know if you're approved or not.

Contact Elite company direct;
