TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around how expats in Thailand will be able to access COVID-19 vaccines once they are available. Comments suggest that expats may need to pay for the vaccine or utilize their health insurance, with some indicating that private hospitals will offer the vaccine for a fee. There is also debate regarding the types of vaccines available and concerns about the safety and efficacy of both pharmaceutical and herbal alternatives. Additionally, several comments highlight the vaccination schedule, indicating that frontline workers and vulnerable populations in Thailand will be prioritized initially.

Thailand have stated they will vaccinate 50% of their population. We as foreigners will have to go private as we should.

All ladies working in the bars, massage shops, all types of work in hospitality are Essential Workers ... in my opinion ... they should get it first, then us blokes

Walk in to a hospital, ask for the vaccine, give them some money or your insurance details, and enjoy.
Ian *****

@Ian ****
Sure there will be private hospitals willing to profit from sale to well funded “Frangs”. My insurance will cover 💯 percent out of pocket costs.

Don't want or accept pharmaceutical vaccine until proven entirely safe and time trialed.

I notice Thailand working on a herbal vaccine which sounds better.
Martin ***********
Thai herbal vaccine news from thaievisa.com, read for yourselves.

ha ha ha herbal vaccine is an oxymoron. Vaccines by their nature are biological.

Everything I had read to date about the vaccine in Thailand indicates that vaccination won't commence until May 2021. Vulnerable and frontline workers first, general (Thai) population by the end of 2021

It has previously been announced that the vaccine available in Thailand (free for Thai citizens)will be the Astra Zenica/Oxford one. The same as that being given now in the UK
Chris ************
@Dianne ****
I think that was put off by UK and Australia. Had bad results, even something to do with false positive, also something with Hiv. Not sure.

@Chris ***********
