TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around seeking information on COVID-19 vaccination availability in Se Sa Ket, Thailand, particularly for the user's ex-partner and their family. Several users clarify that currently, vaccines are not available for purchase and are only being distributed through the government to prioritized groups. There is mention of a potential rollout starting June 1, focusing first on the vulnerable population. Suggestions include checking local news sources and social media for updates. Users speculate that private vaccine options may become available soon, with a capsulated cost mentioned for the Moderna vaccine.

Wow, your "ex" definitely is the person who lost the most when you two ended your relationship. I say this because if you are seeking to fund the vaccination of their entire family, you obviously have a heart of gold, . 👍💛

But i dont think it will be long until vaccine is available privately.

The Moderna is a better choice than either of the vaccines which the government plans to use. Astra Zeneca is a little wonky, and the Chinese have admitted that some of their vaccines aren't all that effective. If you can afford the private option, it's probably worth it.

Look at Facebook pr Thailand Government there are videos and posts about vaccine rollout .For the majority of the population both foreign and local the roll out begins June 1 .At the moment priority is for vulnerable and front line .Perhaps your family members would have been seeing information on their news bulletins as the majority of the population do .

there are many on the ground in Thailand and as suggested check out the Facebook site as suggested and Thai PBS which is an English news service. Am sure your family would know what is going on so long as they have access to normal media

I totally get that. Been living on and off in Thailand for years. If I can give the family a bit of protection, if they want it, I’m happy to do that but maybe it will be spend elsewhere. Sorry if that sounded a bit negative

You have an ex Thai partner that wants the vaccine? Or you want the vaccine?

@Garrett **********
I want to give them the chance of the vaccine. The decision would be theirs. Although we are not together anymore I would like to give them the option. I’ve had one already but currently not in the country

@Al**
They're Thai and in Thailand?

Yes but due to the pandemic have lost their business. I worry about the rising cases in Thailand and if I could help them with a vaccine I would. I know there is a lot of opposition about the vaccine hence it would be their choice
Garrett ***********
@Al**
And how would you help them get s vaccine?

I don’t know hence asking if it is available there. I have been out the country for 11 months and things have change so much. I only know what I read about where vaccines are available. Just want to try and do what is right for someone that I was with for a long time 😀

@Al**
They have the vaccine, it's distributed on a need/age based scale like in most countries. It's free for all Thais.
