TLDR : Answer Summary
There are mixed reports regarding the visa processing time at the Thai consulate in Vientiane. Typically, it has been stated that visas take two working days to process. However, some recent accounts indicate that applicants are able to collect their visa the next day, depending on their submission timing. It's crucial to make an appointment via the consulate's website and prepare all necessary documentation correctly, including proof of funds and accommodation.

I'm in Vientiane now, applied yesterday Thursday and told to pick up Monday afternoon. The website has recently been updated for requirements ie in the last week. Proof of funds also included needing to show 3 months of bank statements. And we had a letter from our landlord advising our address but we then also had to print their Thai ID card. FYI.

where did you get the website was updated in the last week? They've required 3 months bank statement and proof of lodging for your whole stay almost since they re-opened the land borders between thailand and lao last year?
