TLDR : Answer Summary
The NON-O multiple entry visa does not have a specific requirement on the number of days you must remain in or out of Thailand. However, the key point is that you must enter Thailand before the expiration date of your visa. If you want to extend the visa while in Thailand, you need to return by the expiration date; otherwise, you would lose the visa and have to reapply.

You need to be back on the date your visa expires to extend it or you lose it and start over

Your visa has no requirements to even enter Thailand at all. But whether you're in Thailand or not, the expiration date on your visa doesn't change. So if you want to use your visa you have to enter by the end date on the visa.
