Pretty sure I know the answer, but as this process is anything other than straight forward...once approved, if you plan on border runs instead of extensions, you do not need the 500k baht sitting in the bank doing nothing, correct? It's OK to move it out?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether it is necessary to maintain 500,000 baht in the bank after obtaining a Thai visa if they intend to use border runs instead of extending their visa. The comments suggest that this requirement may not be strictly enforced, with others mentioning they have not been asked for bank balance proof upon arrival and affirming it is possible to borrow the required funds.

Given this visa is not even a year old I would just try to stay up to date on people’s recent experiences at the border you are planning to enter from.
