Do You Need to Apply for a 1 Year Extension Within 30 Days of Arriving in Thailand?

Do you need to get your 1 year extension within 30 days of arrival Thailand?

I have a Non B visa and I am going to apply for the 1 year extension.

The reason for the questions is because I have gotten 2 VERY contradicting answers in regards to this question.

One firm told me that you must get the extension within 30 days upon arrival into the kingdom.

Another told me that you CANNOT do it until you have been in the kingdom for at least 45 days.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

TLDR : Answer Summary
There seems to be some confusion regarding the timing for applying for a 1-year extension with a Non-B visa in Thailand. Generally, you can apply for the extension as early as 45 days after your arrival or during the last 30 days before your visa expires. It's best to consult with the local Immigration Office for clarification, as policies may vary.

Are you using a visa agent? The employer should know the policy

You have to talk to your Immigration Office, some allow you to apply during the last 45 days, others during the last 30 days.

But also knowing that the list of requirements is long, I advice to go early to ask and take the hand out with requirements so you have time enough to be well prepared.

as early as 45 days after entry or on the last 30 days of the 90 days stamp.
