TLDR : Answer Summary
The question addresses whether an original contract is necessary for a visa application in Taiwan, specifically in Taipei. Responses indicate that copies are generally accepted, as one user had no issues providing copies of contracts and bank statements. However, there is a strong recommendation against applying in Taipei due to the strict requirements and potential for extensive documentation and interviews. An alternate suggestion is to apply in nearby countries like Vietnam or Indonesia to avoid complications.
Don't apply in taiwan, I repeat DON'T APPLY IN TAIPEI TAIWAN. The embassy is EXTREMELY strict. You'll ask to add dozens of documents even you apply for soft powers. Taiwan is also well known for making a lot of interviews which can take place 10 days ahead. Don't do my mistake, fly to vietnam or indonesia, save yourself from a lot of issues and sleepless nights
