Renewing my retirement extension. Australian passport. 800k in a fixed deposit account, but I moved it to a Savings deposit account on 14/10/21 and back into a fixed deposit account on 5.11.21. The balance was much less than 400K which I am told is the minimum continuous balance now required. I had thought it was only that the 800K had to be in the account three months after renewal and 2 or 3 months before? When did that change? Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're renewing your retirement extension visa in Thailand, it's important to be aware that the financial requirements changed in 2019. You need to maintain a continuous balance of 800,000 THB in a bank account for a specified duration before your visa renewal applications. Previously, only the requirement for maintaining the amount for a few months prior to the application was taken into consideration. Ensure your funds remain above the minimum thresholds at all times; otherwise, it might affect your renewal eligibility.
