My partner had an accident. He came in on 30 days has already extended at Krabi for another 30 days, which expires on the 28th Jan.

The Hospital in Trang have given him another 15 days no fly medical certificate.

Last time we were at Krabi immigration they told us the medical certificate was not valid from Trang province.

We can’t go to Trang immigration because we stay on Koh Lanta.

Question?

do we need to back to Krabi or do we just show the medical certificate when we leave the county, which will be organised by the insurance company when he can fly home. U.K. passport

Thanks for any help on this

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they need to visit Trang immigration to apply for a medical extension of stay after their partner received a 15-day no-fly medical certificate. They had already extended their stay once in Krabi and are concerned about overstaying their visa if they do not get the extension. Several comments suggest that the medical extension must be obtained from Trang where the hospital is located, and that simply showing the medical certificate at departure may not be accepted by immigration.

and I think at this point

has more than enough information to figure out how to bounce OR to go try to get the extension.

As a rule IF they deny the medical extension they will sell you a application for extension denied 7 day stamp that gives you a week to get out of the country.

Good Luck

Just showing the medical certificate doesn't cut ANY ice with the immigration people when you stamp out of the country you go get the medical extension from the immigration office BEFORE you start running on overstay.

You should have went to the immigration office as soon as you got that paper (while you were in Trang)

The other is Ranong (north of Phuket) at the pier (a Country Club)... Take a boat to Myanmar and back. Again - Google and Google maps

Satun - Thale Ban National Park (Wang Prachan) is the closest land border... Easy to find Google Maps

Be aware that the Extension of Stay must be applied for BEFORE a person gets into overstay, you have not much time left to organize the trip tomorrow.

It sounds like you are trying to get an extension of stay based on medical reasons. If the hospital is in Trang, then the extension of stay must be done in Trang. You, your partner, or the hospital staff may be able to go to Trang immigration and file the extension of stay.

You have to use the Immigration Office where the hospital is located and that is in your case Trang.

He is not fit to fly, from Koh Lanta to Trang you can use a minivan.

If you do not get a medical Extension of Stay and just wait till he is allowed to fly that means from 28 Jan, he is on overstay.
