Hi, hope you’re well! I’m in Chiang Mai and would need to go to the Immigration Centre soon to apply for 30 day extension. I’m thinking of going Central Festival Mall to complete this.
A lot of people I speak to seem to go in the morning. I was wondering if anyone has gone in the afternoon and if it’s more quiet?
Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the best time to visit the Immigration Centre in Chiang Mai for a 30-day visa extension, specifically whether going in the afternoon is less crowded than the morning. A comment from another user shared their personal experience of visiting twice in the morning and mentioned that wait times can vary significantly, ranging from 1.5 hours to 6 hours. They suggested that going early is generally better than visiting in the afternoon, as it tends to be more crowded later in the day.
I’ve gone at 0800 and they open at 0900 two times with different wait time. First time I wait about 1.5hrs and second time about 6hr that’s including them closing for lunch at 1200-1300. Both times was to get an 30 days extension. It’s really a hit or miss on how long you wait but going early would be better than afternoon.
