I'm a bit confused and hoping someone here can clarify some info for me.
1. Is it still necessary to have expensive covid medical insurance?
2. Can South Africans get VOA?
3. What is needed to be able to enter Thailand?
TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about COVID medical insurance, visa on arrival for South Africans, and entry requirements for Thailand. It was clarified that COVID insurance is no longer a requirement for entry. South Africans are eligible for a 30-day visa-exempt entry and do not get a visa on arrival. Vaccinated travelers can enter without testing or additional requirements.
South Africans don't get visa on arrival. You instead get 30 day visa exempt entry where no visa is needed to stay for 30 days. If vaccinated with 2 doses (1 dose if Janssen), you can enter completely normally just like pre-pandemic with no testing or other requirements either pre-departure or upon arrival.

1. The covid insurance was never expensive. Insurance is no longer an entrance requirement.
2. I've attached an image of all countries eligible for some type of arrival entry.
