Hi All ๐
Thank you so much for the constant advice on all things visa related.
Wife, on a work permit (not Thai citizen) and I ( Ed visa) are leaving the country, filling re-entry permit upon our exit.
When we return are we too required to show 20k cash, onward ticket, which we are unsure of.
Are our conditions the same conditions as a tourist visa/visa exempt.
Please advise.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether an individual holding an education visa (ED visa) and a spouse holding a work permit are required to present 20,000 baht in cash and an onward ticket upon their return to Thailand after acquiring a re-entry permit. Various comments indicate that proof of funds may only be necessary for first-time entries or certain visa types. Others share insights on the current immigration rules and the possibility of changes in the future regarding visa policies.
