I'm applying for a dependant dtv for my kids in Taipei using a physical form. As my children are only 5 and 10, do they need to sign the application form or will my signature be enough. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a dependant DTV for children aged 5 and 10 in Taipei, it's generally noted that their signatures are not required. Instead, the parent's signature is sufficient for the application process. To be cautious, some recommend submitting two versions of the application: one signed by the parent and another where the child can print their name.

I suggest having two copies of each application and having the child print their name on one and you sign the other. That way whoever is doing intake can decide which is more viable. Please update here to let others know which was accepted for future applicants. šŸ˜

Do children under 16 need a DTV (via dependent)? I was told they do not. They can enter with parents on a DTV.

Canā€™t imagine they would require the children to sign. However, to be safe, why not print out two versions of the application for each child have each one sign one version and you and their guardian sign the other. That way, when you arrive at the consulate, you have both and donā€™t get sent away to do more paperwork.

As their parent, just sign it for them
