Hi! Has anyone successfully added their parent as a dependent to their DTV? Looking for advice and tips. FWIW, I got my DTV from the Thai embassy in Los Angeles.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus in the comments suggests that dependents under the DTV (Digital Work Visa) are typically limited to spouses and children, and not parents.
You could try the medical route. Despite what others are saying it is still possible. A guy in Pattaya just got one due to his diabetes check ups I believe. If you have the correct documentation from the hospital or clinic and the embassy or Consulate accepts you are good to go. Just need to do a little research.
problem is that on beginning of DTV you could qualify with one week of cooking course. Now that is unlikely 😕 and you need to spend a lot more on cooking course. Additionally if your parent has health care difficulties you can do this way. Because on beginning people were getting DTV just based on dentist appointment. No school or medical establishment will guarantee you a visa.
Oh never knew that. Is anything published anywhere that same applies to DTV?. I know people did it in Singapore on Employment Pass and saw them in my condo there. Never know anyone here doing it.

Dependent is only for spouse and your children. Not your mom.
