TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day family visit extension at Chaengwattana does require proof of residence, which can include a TM30 receipt for foreigners residing in a location and possibly documentation of your Airbnb stay, like reservations. The type of entry visa you used is important; those on a Non-O entry apply at Chaengwattana, while those on a 30-day visa exemption or a 60-day tourist visa go to the Muang Thong Thani immigration office instead.

One more question, what type of visa or entry did you use when you stamped in. Not everyone who wants a 60 day visit thai family extension goes to Chaengwattana for it.

IF you were on an Non-O entry you would use C/W but if you entered on a 30 day visa exempt or a 60 day tourist visa entry you'd go to the Muang Thong Thani immigration office to get it.

ah that's good to know. I entered on a non-O so I guess I'll head to CW based on that info (y)

Make sure
@Phi***
when you head to C/W you take your thai wife with you ;) The "reason" you're getting the extension has to be there too :)

I believe you will have to show proof where you stay filed a TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) receipt, and at least reservations or proof you're booked there.
