Do I need to resubmit all paperwork for a Non-O 1-year extension in Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTER
Went from visa exemption stamp into Non-O 90 days thai child dependent visa in Thailand. Submitted the whole paperwork in 2 sets that is needed for the 1 year extension (hoping I could get one year straight away). Am I right to assume that for the 1 year extension I will have to resubmit everything even if it's the same immigration office? Couldn't ask the IO as he wasn't bothered. He also stamped me a 3 days earlier date. I didn't see it straight away, just thought it was a weird date for the visa expiry. But didn't want to test my luck by complaining. Also, if a new rental contract is needed does it have to start 3 months prior to extension date or on the date of extension for a year (like 30 days before expiration of Non O 90 days)? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring about the necessity of resubmitting paperwork for a one-year extension of a Non-O visa after transitioning from a visa exemption stamp. They seek clarification on whether all documents must be resubmitted, even at the same immigration office, and the timeline regarding a new rental contract related to the extension.

You have to do things they way they are done, not the way you want them done.

When you apply for a non-O visa and you're on a tourist stay, you lose any extra days because it's not an extension, it's a conversion.

You cannot apply for the extension until you have 30 days or less left, or 45 days or less left at some offices. Since you start with 90 days, you cannot immediately apply.

You will have to submit whatever paperwork they ask for. You should get the list from immigration. If you already have a lease, you don't need a new lease. You use the one you have.
