Do I need to register my address in Thailand if I'm staying at a friend's place instead of my usual address?

Hello! I'm looking for advice about the 'address in Thailand' I have been many times and wrote the same address but this time will stay at my friends place. Is this an issue as i read something recently of police reports being made when people do not register at the given address. Nothing to hide πŸ˜‚ it's just to make sure!! πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€“

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the implications of staying at a friend's place in Thailand rather than the address they have previously registered. A comment clarifies that the address listed on the TM.6 arrival card does not need to match the actual place of residence during their stay, alleviating concerns about needing to report to authorities.

what you put on the TM.6 arrival card as far as your address in thailand doesn't have any bearing on where you really stay while you're here.
