Anyone do the Mae Sai Border run recently?

My question is: do I need proof of 20k, onward flight, hotel reservation, and or anything else?

Or is it just get to the border, pay the $10 or 500 baht to Burma, have a look at the market and return to Thailand for the 30 day exempt?

Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Mae Sai border run allows travelers to gain a 30-day visa exemption by briefly entering Myanmar and returning to Thailand. Recent experiences suggest that you do not need to provide proof of 20,000 THB, an onward flight, or a hotel reservation; simply paying the fee (500 THB or $10) and returning is typically sufficient. Bring your passport and enjoy the brief visit at the border.

You even don't need to go to the market, just pay the Burma and come back.
