it can take 5 or 10 days, and you need to remain there until the process completes. Why not an ED visa if your son goes to school? Have you checked with the school if they will be OK with him on a DTV?Reply to

From me was only my passport, picture and bank statement and other all documents provide school: later- invitation from school and embassy next day ask me license of school and id owner of the school and my passport page with the stamp of vietnam immigration. I applied 14.09, 15.09 request from embassy my stamp and school license and 23.09 I got approved visa.
