Must I print out the DTV visa PDF I received or can I just show it from the phone?

When I did for TDAC then I only showed from my phone at the immigration and they were fine with that.

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

If you want to stay over 90 days you need a printed copy of the DTV anyway for TM47 report, so why not print it before entering the country as is suggested by MFA.

When a foreigner is 90 consecutive days in Thailand, he or she has to report at the immigration office.

The form used is called TM47. You need to fill this form, a copy of personal data of your passport, a copy of DTV and a copy of entry stamp. Some offices also want a copy of TM30, the report that the owner of your accommodation has to file.

This reporting has to be done every consecutive 90 days and the counter resets when you leave the country.

First reporting ove EVERY stay has to be done in person, following reports can be done online, but for DTV most times useless because most leave the country before day 180

They prefer a hard copy of your DTV. You do not need a hard copy of the TDAC unless it is your first visit to Thailand. I printed my DTV A6 size and had it laminated. The IO was very impressed and called a colleague over to show how easy it was to scan. She said I wish everybody would do this. I know we live in a digital age, but unfortunately, not everybody does.

No, keep it in your phone but as long as you enter your DTV No in the visa box on the tdac, then they will automatically be aware you have a DTV, just check the date stamp is correct as soon as IO hands your passport back, in the rare case of a date error.

No one looks at the TDAC. They verify that you did one or not, that's it. Whatever you put there is not anything that the officer is going to notice or acknowledge.

Best practice is still to physically present your visa (either on your phone on as a print out) rather than relying on immigration to notice you have a DTV.
