Hello everyone, and first of all, apologies if this has been asked multiple times already. I have a question regarding the DTV visa for Thailand: you need to show proof of 500,000 THB. Do these 500,000 THB need to be in the account every month (for example, a balance of 500,000 THB in January, 500,000 THB in February, 500,000 THB in March), or is it enough to have had a total of 500,000 THB in the account over a period, such as from January to March? Cause a visa agency here who help me with border run told me that Option 2 is the true One, but chatgpt says Option 1 so pls I Need help😅😂 cause in total i had the last 3 months on my Bank Account almost 900.000 thb( its before i pay taxes and the salary from my workers etc) 😅
Answer summary
The requirement for the DTV visa concerning the 500,000 THB can vary based on the embassy. Generally, it is enough to have a total minimum balance of 500,000 THB for a period of 3-6 months. You do not have to maintain a balance of 500,000 THB every month, but you must ensure the balance does not drop below that amount at any time during the specified period. Some embassies might also allow a final balance of 500,000 THB, rather than requiring monthly maintenance. It is advisable to check the specific requirements of the embassy you will be applying to, as practices may differ.

if you’ve already used the agency, why would you think they are scamming you? Seems you have a nasty, suspicious mind. Agencies know which embassies accept what and how to get around things that the average person doesn’t. ChatGPT is basing its answer on information available online and will tell you the official rules, not what actually works.

First, where will you be applying? Secondly it's almost as if you're asking if you must top up the account by 500,000 each month. The answer to that is no. You just have to hold a single balance of 500,000. Depending on the embassy you apply through it can/must be in the account for as little as 10 days up to 3 to 6 months. And it must be in a personal account in your name not a business account.

Some embassies are ok with just a final balance of 500k. Others want a monthly balance of 500k for 3-6tmths. Which embassy are you applying from ?

You apply online when you are in Vietnam, it is online only not in person. You should read posts about applying in Vietnam for tips. You can find lots of posts including recent approvals in Vietnam for non seasoned funds.

It is not a problem with your income. It is the final balance of your monthly statement that determines where you apply. Laos requires 3 consecutive months of 500K. Vietnam, Taipei are ok with just a final balance of 500K.

The amount in your bank account needs to be consistently over 500k THB over a period of time (usually 3-6 months). Let’s say if you have >500k in your bank account in January, you have to maintain it till the end of March. It can’t be < 500k for any day in between. You don’t need to show an income of 500k every month. I hope it helps.

Yes, January and March amount looks fine, but you will need to wait 2 more months with > 500k THB after March to be 3 consecutive months.
