Do I need to include my middle name on the DTV visa application for Thailand, and how should I handle income requirements as an independent contractor?

When applying for the DTV online it asks for my first name and last name. From traveling in the past, I understand that for some countries you need to put both your first and middle name in the first name space. I’m trying to figure out if I need to do that for this visa application. Also if I do put my first and middle name in the first name space, it doesn’t allow me to put a space in between the names. Will this be an issue?

I’m hoping to hear from somebody who has already been granted the visa, who has a first and middle name, and applyed with a United States passport. What did you do and were there any issues?

Also, do they require a specific amount of income each month to grant you the visa or is it just a lump sum you need in savings?

I work as an independent contractor. I’d also appreciate any advice on how to apply when I both have my own buisness and also work for outside companies?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the Thai DTV visa online, there is some confusion regarding whether to include both the first and middle names in the application form. Users have pointed out that it depends on how your name appears in your passport. If your passport includes a separate field for the middle name, you should fill it out accordingly. Concerns were raised about the application not allowing spaces between names, which led to mixed opinions: some advise omitting the middle name if it causes issues, while others suggest following the exact format in the machine-readable section of the passport. Additionally, the question of income requirements for the visa arises; whether it's a specific monthly amount or a lump sum in savings is unclear and may need further clarification based on individual circumstances.

Feel like the fact its not letting you put a space in-between the first and middle name is a good hint that you should omit middle!?

If your first and middle name are both on the given name field in the passport, then enter your middle name in the middle name field of the application form.
