Drawn map for Marriage visa. Does both the 2 copies need to be hand drawn, or I can draw 1st, then photocopy the 2nd copy?
Answer summary
The discussion focuses on the requirement for hand-drawn maps for marriage visa applications in Thailand. Users express varying experiences with the immigration offices regarding whether both copies of the map need to be hand-drawn or if photocopies are acceptable. Some suggest that while photocopies may work at certain offices, others strictly require hand-drawn versions. There are also mentions of different offices having different rules, and advice to consult the local immigration office for their specific requirements.

You can use a copy of the first.

You need to sign the copy with a blue pen (as all copies you submit).

It can depend on which office you ask, but I just took a colour copy of my hand drawn map.

Note Chiang Rai immigration didn't accept Google maps. Had to be hand drawn

Hand draw both copies. Immigration will give you a scale A4 to draw your map. The roads have to be double lined, not perfect just high lite land marks and road numbers like AH3 or 4008

I never understand the hand drawing map requirements. Using Google map print would be a much more accurate way. . But this is Thailand. Their rules

LivelyElk9857 at my immigration they have refused both google maps print, and the hand drawn one I did from home. They wanted me to make it there and then.

I suspect it's not so much about the maps accuracy. Anyone can print a google map of anywhere.

It's more about seeing that you actually know the local area where you claim to live.

KindWallaby6798 ok, that's no good, guess you need to get out the pencils and ruler. I used goggle to produce mine, but as we know here in Thailand especially when it comes to immigration no branch the same. We use Maha Sarakham pretty good and staff the same.

All I needed was colour photo copys from Google maps no hand draw images,As long as the route is visible ie- Start address(your home) to immigration office..But I'd ask them first because whats on the website not always means what they want...🙂
