TLDR : Answer Summary
The original residency certificate for driving can be used along with a copy for both car and motorcycle licenses. Some embassies issue residency certificates specifically for driving licenses, so it's advisable to check with your embassy. However, if the original certificate does not specify it is valid for car and bike licenses, you may need to obtain an additional certificate from immigration.

Whatever is most inconvenient, time-consuming, pointless and expensive, that's what Immigration will require. It's why more and more tourists are going to Vietnam whilst Thailand loses out. Do they care? No, it's all about power.

I’d move to Nam in a heart beat but a boarder run every 90 days is a mission.

Yes you are correct Mike. luckily I have time, but I’ve destroyed a tree in paperwork lol

If a Thai wanted to immigrate to NZ it would be far more problematic for them so I understand . Relatively easy here in comparison.

As long as you have one original that says it's for drivers license, you can use the original and a copy for the car license and the motorcycle license.
