TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice regarding their short stay in Thailand with a Visa on Arrival (VOA), specifically about exceeding the 15-day limit by 2 hours. Comments provide insight into Thailand's immigration policies, emphasizing the need for a confirmed onward ticket within 15 days of arrival to qualify for a VOA. Users are advised to check with their airline regarding boarding policies related to visa validity.

So strict? - if flight leaves at 2am technically the holder is leaving on the 8th if they Check in and clear immigration on the 8th.

, that you MIGHT be able to go through passport control before midnight and that you must meet the requirements of the date on your ticket for VOA approval are different things.

Are you entering Thailand on an actual Visa On Arrival?

So you have a nationality that is eligible for a Visa On Arrival for 15 days entry stamp, which you will apply at the entry point to Thailand for a 2000 baht fee, do you?

As for your question, you need to check with your airline for their policy.

BUT, if your dates on tickets are arrival on 25 December and leaving on 9th Jan, you may not be able to be approved for your VOA anyway even if your airline lets you check-in. You must have the confirmed onward ticket within 15 days from the arrival day as day 1 to be able to apply for VOA. The departure date of the ticket has to be 8th Jan.

This original question is not usually approved to be on the group. But I approved this post rather letting members know VOA has specific requirements.

, the regulation is clear. You have to have a "confirmed" ticket (don't know how IO check that though). If that ticket is "confirmed", would help.
