TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for an O visa in Thailand, it's advisable to deposit your retirement funds in a Thai savings account. Users recommend using a separate bank account, such as a money market account, to minimize the risk of accidental withdrawals.

I use a Thai money market account that pays a VERY small amount of interest.

I suggest you consider a different bank than your daily use bank to minimize the risk of accidental withdrawals.

Deleted comment as mis-read question. Are you applying at a consulate overseas or within Thailand?
