Question about the DTV application in Vietnam (I will probably apply in Ho Chi Minh), has anyone shown proof of funds in a savings account instead of a current account, and was this accepted? And did you need to produce 3 months of bank statements or 6? Thanks! It's been super confusing to work out with some certainly what we'll need

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV application in Vietnam can accept proof of funds from a savings account, as per user experiences. It's suggested that applicants provide very recent bank statements, ideally the same day as the application, while 6 months of statements are generally preferred. There seems to be no restriction on the age of the funds, so sending available statements from either a current or savings account should suffice.

The bank statement need to be very recent better to be the same day you apply. Most banks allow you to download your statement, current or savings makes no difference. If 6 months statement is available send it, there is no limit how old the funds need to be in your account, this is my understanding
