Can I use savings account proof of funds for a DTV application in Vietnam, and how many months of bank statements are required?

The DTV application in Vietnam can accept proof of funds from a savings account, as per user experiences. It's suggested that applicants provide very recent bank statements, ideally the same day as the application, while 6 months of statements are generally preferred. There seems to be no restriction on the age of the funds, so sending available statements from either a current or savings account should suffice.
