Hello everyone! Has anyone had any experience using thai general insurance association insurance to apply for a tourist visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the necessity of Thai General Insurance Association insurance for applying for a tourist visa. Comments indicate that a tourist visa does not require insurance, and one commenter provided a link to an insurance policy specific to COVID-19, which may not be applicable for general tourist visa insurance needs.

This is the Thailand insurers group sponsored COVID ONLY policy...

have not used them. Its designed primarily for those unable to get health insurance which includes COVID coverage due to applicants age...as its issued thru ages 99.

Most insurers stop offering insurance at either 70, 75 or 80.

With premiums costly.

I have recommended it for those ages 75+.

its possible as we have seen varied insurance requirements being applied by Thai Embassy's and Consulates worldwide.

weird. I didn't know they added that. Why would they check it twice for both your visa and your Thailand Pass? But every embassy can pretty much make whatever rules they want
