TLDR : Answer Summary
You can use online generated bank statements for your visa application if you're submitting them digitally on the e-visa platform. However, some embassies may have specific requirements for printed statements that are stamped and sealed. It's advisable to check the requirements for the specific embassy you are applying to.
I think it depends on each embassy. Mine (Seoul, Korea) required scans or photos of "regular" paper statements from the bank, which should be stamped and sealed 🤷🏻

Since you submit them online on the e-visa platform, they can of course also be in digital form. If you are applying in your home country, they can be in your national language, but if you are applying outside your home country, they must be in English or the local language. I just wanted to mention that.
it depends on each embassy. Mine (Seoul, Korea) doesn't only accept scans of "real printed papers", but also any document (including bank statements but also everything else) must be either in Thai or English. The local language, Korean, wasn't allowed.
