Hello everyone.

Does anyone know if the British embassy needs to authenticate my certificates in order to apply for a non-b visa?

I have everything here with me now and I’ve not had to do this before but someone mentioned I do.

Any advice would be appreciated. I would usually call the embassy however it’s a bank holiday and I’m pressed for time.

Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster inquired about the need for certificate authentication by the British embassy for a non-B visa application. Responses indicated that degrees should typically be authenticated in the UK through the HEDD system before verification by the Thai embassy, though some users noted that it might vary based on the specific certificates and circumstances.

Your degrees should be authenticated in the UK through the Hedd system and then taken to the Thai Embassy to verify the authenticity of the signature.
