TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are traveling on a Non-O visa (marriage visa) and plan to visit the UK for a holiday, you will need valid health insurance to return to Thailand. According to recent responses, all travelers wishing to enter Thailand must have health insurance with coverage of at least 50,000 USD, as mandated by the Thailand Pass system. This applies to everyone except Thai nationals.

Let me make it absolutely clear...

Unless you are Thai...

EVERYBODY needs to have the proof of insurance required to obtain the Thailand Pass to reenter Thailand...PERIOD.

And if you wish to discuss this further post on this helpful forum

I'm shutting this down.

1. EVERYONE who wants to enter Thailand needs to use the Thai Pass system. According to
**********************************
this requires insurance of 50K USD.

2. This is not an insurance advice group, and we don't allow questions about "what insurance company is the cheapest".

3. Questions about the Thai Pass system is outside the scope of this group. Ask the Thai Pass related questions on one of the many Farang Stranded Aboard groups.

Thank you

Interesting question, I intend to visit Australia for 3 weeks soon, I was informed if I am (as I am on a Non O visa, married to a Thai) as long as I get a re-entry stamp before I leave I don’t need any insurance to come back.

you are wrong. You will need proof of insurance for the time you will be stamped in on return to Thailand...which in your case is the expiration date of your reentry permit which also is the ending date of your current permission to stay date stamp in your passport.

True mate, but apparently if you already live here as I do, no insurance is needed to return.

And go to the THAI PASS and full vaccinated, and bring a test not older then 72 hours and book a hotel for one night…

You will need the 50K USD health insurance to enter Thailand

are you talking about Covid Ins? I think only Non Immigrant O A requires health insurance at this time.

Yea, it’s a new COVID-19 era thing. I was told If you leave and return you need coverage up to when you renew your next extension of stay, then the NON IMM 0 won’t require insurance. I was also told I’ll only need 3 months worth of coverage on my return so still researching which of the two is correct

I think or hope it is only Covid coverage not Health Ins. I am over 70 and connot get or afford Health Ins so I could not leave Thailand and return. I have Non Immigrant O which I got inside Thailand.
