Gday, Can anyone tell me if I am required to get the health insurance before I arrive in 2 weeks. My Non OA was issued on the 7th July this year in Canberra. Seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding this issue so any help would be appreciated.

And as we await actual implementation of the announced new health insurance requirements for holders of an O-A visa...we will await October 31 and report what really is happening afterwards.

Some people are of the mind that the insurance is only required for O-A visa issues AFTER the 31st of Oct and some are thinking it's for ANY entry on an O-A no matter when you got it after the 31st.

Time will tell what they're going to do..

We really do not know as of today. Lets see what really happens after October 31st.
