ORIGINAL POSTERI have a UK passport but will be applying for my DTV from Dubai. Do I need a flight from UK to submit with my application if I submit it to UK embassy for processing?

You do not need a flight from the UK if you are applying for your Thai DTV visa from Dubai. You need to remain in Dubai until your visa decision is made. However, if you were submitting the application to the Thai embassy in the UK, then you would have to be in the UK during the visa processing period and may need to show a flight booking back to the UK.

When you submit the application to Thai embassy in UK you have to be in UK during processing.

If you are applying in Dubai then you need to stay there until you receive your decision. You would only need to be in the U.K. if you were applying there for your DTV🤷🏾♀️

As others hiy mentioned you have to be in the UK when applying there and stay while visa is processed. One guy posted here he applied then entered Thailamd on Visa Exempt. He had to return to UK and prove it before DTV issued

I had to book a flight back home from Thailand. They told me I had to be in the UK for my visa to be issued. My flight isn’t til 4th of December so they haven’t made a decision yet. I had to upload my flight tickets
