Hi Tod and everyone on the site. I got my first Non O 12 month Multiple Entry Visa (married to Thai) in Savannakhet a few weeks ago and we are hoping to travel back to Australia for two weeks in late March. I see on the site people having to purchase a re-entry permits, I thought if you had a multi entry visa that I wouldn’t need a re-entry permit. Can someone tell if I do or don’t need one. Many thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about whether a re-entry permit is necessary for their Non-O 12 month Multiple Entry Visa, given that they plan to travel outside Thailand. Community responses confirm that if you have a Non-O Multiple Entry Visa, you do not need a re-entry permit; you will receive a 90-day stamp upon re-entering Thailand.

Nope, you don't need an re-entry permit. Each time you return to Thailand on a Non-O Multiple Entry based on Marriage you get a 90 day stamp. You can enter, and leave, every day if you want.

You first check your visa, there are two things important.

Valid Until, underneath is a date you have to enter Thailand before this date.

Nr or Entries, underneath the letter M (Multiple) this means you can use this visa as many times as you like until the valid until date and get with Non O visa 90 days on each entry.

OR

S (Single), you can use this visa once to get 90 days of stay.

You can go and come back as many times as you like and get 90 days of stay on each entry. Last day to enter is 14 Jan 2021, get the 90 days, brings you to 15 April 2021, you may extend this with 60 days at Immigration, 15 Jun 2021 and then get a new Visa,
