Doing my first 90 day report at Changwattana. I have tm30, but just spent 4 days on the beach at a hotel. I am getting conflicting reports and hope you can settle it. I believe I need to get a new TM30 from my landlord, as the stay at a hotel has effectively cancelled my original one. Other sources say it does not matter. I would appreciate a link to the appropriate immigration website that states what is the requirement

TLDR : Answer Summary
When completing your first 90-day report at Changwattana, it's essential to clarify your TM30 status after spending four days in a hotel. The general consensus indicates that you should file a new TM30 with your landlord to ensure compliance with immigration regulations, as discrepancies could arise during the cross-checking process with the immigration office. While clear guidance is scarce on official immigration websites, submitting a new TM30 will align with the address used on your TM47 form for the 90-day report.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Unfortunately you aren't gonna find a link to the immigration website that spells it out for you. ๐
I'd say file a NEW TM30 so that it will match the address you're going to use on the TM47 (notification of 90 day report) form.
Because those systems cross check, the immigration officer will notice where you're last TM30 was filed (and if it's a hotel on the beach they'll see it).
So just get your land lord to file a new TM30 for you using the online system and have them send you the copy of the PDF showing a TM30 was filed.
This is what the receipt of online TM30 notification looks like
